40 years of ZFG ALTHERM – A journey through time through innovation and engineering

On June 16, 1985, Ferdinand Zechner, Josef Fellhofer, and Josef Grafenauer laid the foundation stone for a company that is now one of Austria's leading engineering firms for technical building services.
What began back then with pioneering spirit and professional excellence has become an unparalleled success story – a true journey through four decades of technical innovation, challenging projects, and collaborative partnerships.

During this time, we have successfully completed over 2,000 projects – from complex laboratory and hospital buildings to major international projects. We are particularly proud of our involvement in numerous striking building complexes in Vienna that are redefining the city's skyline: the DC Tower, the ERSTE Campus, the new main train station, and the Floridsdorf Clinic. These landmarks symbolize our contribution to the modern cityscape and our expertise, both in the grand scheme and in the details.

With locations in Baden, Grimmenstein, and Pinkafeld, as well as a team of around 130 dedicated employees, we are continually writing this story – with fresh ideas, technical excellence, and a clear vision for the future.

Our 40th anniversary is not only a milestone, but also a moment of reflection and appreciation.
