Favoriten Clinic Laboratory Building

On behalf of the Vienna Health Network, ZFG-Altherm planned all the building services (HVAC, electrical engineering and control systems) for the new central laboratory building at the Favoriten Clinic.

Covering a floor area of around 2,000 m², a modern diagnostic centre was created, housing more than 370 pieces of equipment and a 45-metre-long, fully automated laboratory line. The energy-efficient new building was certified to the klimaaktiv Silver standard.

Around 3 million analyses are carried out here annually, and approximately 500,000 patients are treated. The site plays a central role in handling infectious samples and, as a contemporary working environment, offers attractive conditions for specialists in diagnostics, research and training.
