In order to expand the global capacity for animal vaccine production, additional production/logistics areas were created at the site in the existing production building. A new logistics building with a usable area of 4,100 m² was built for the delivery and storage of goods, as well as for their inspection, weighing and sampling.

A clean room zone for the production of bacterial antigens was built on an area of 2,000 m² in the production building. (Clean room class ISO 7 or BSL 2). A further clean room zone was created on an area of 2,500 m² for final formulation, filling and outgoing goods inspection. Filling takes place under aseptic conditions within a RABS and complies with the requirements of an ISO 5 classification.
